USWNT Set to Begin SheBelieves Cup Against Colombia

HOUSTON, Texas — The 2025 SheBelieves Cup, presented by Visa, kicks off February 20 at Shell Energy Stadium, featuring the U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT) taking on Colombia. The tournament runs through February 26 and includes top-ranked teams Japan and Australia.

The USWNT, fresh off its gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics, holds a dominant 11-0-2 record against Colombia. The opening match against Colombia is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET, following Japan’s match against Australia at 5 p.m. ET.

Fans can catch the action on TBS and streaming services like Max, Universo, and Peacock, which will provide Spanish commentary. Live coverage on radio will also be available through Westwood One Sports in English and Fútbol de Primera in Spanish.

The SheBelieves Cup returns to its traditional six-match format after a year where it was condensed due to Olympic scheduling conflicts. The tournament’s winner will be determined by total points, with various tiebreakers in place such as goal difference and goals scored.

Colombia has made notable strides in women’s soccer, recently competing well in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2024 Olympics. Under the guidance of head coach Ángelo Marsiglia, the team employs a possession-based game, reflected in their current FIFA ranking of 21.

In their last encounter during the Concacaf W Gold Cup, the U.S. defeated Colombia 3-0. However, this promising Colombia squad looks to challenge the reigning Olympic champions by building off previous performances.
