Vanna White Discusses Potential Matchmaking for Ryan Seacrest

LOS ANGELES, April 8, 2025 — Vanna White, the iconic hostess of “Wheel of Fortune,” recently opened up about her attempts to play matchmaker for her co-host Ryan Seacrest, but so far, her efforts have not been successful. During a visit to Seacrest’s radio show, the conversation took a playful turn as they discussed Seacrest’s relationship status.
Before the broadcast concluded, Seacrest invited his co-hosts, Tanya Rad and Sisanie, to chime in with questions for White. With a big smile, Rad asked, “Have you tried to set Ryan up with anybody?” This elicited laughter from the studio audience, prompting Seacrest to tease Rad for her curiosity.
“Tanya!” Seacrest exclaimed, rolling his eyes yet smiling. White responded, “No, I haven’t. Not yet. Should I?” Rad, who has been vocal about her matchmaking intentions, explained her ongoing quest to find Seacrest a romantic partner, wondering if he simply doesn’t allow her to set him up.
“I haven’t done it yet, but hmmm, you never know,” White said, maintaining a light-hearted tone. Sisanie added, “There’s still plenty of time. We still have another season coming soon,” as Seacrest chuckled, seemingly embarrassed by the exchange.
Seacrest, age 50 and never married, has had several high-profile relationships, including his three-year partnership with model Aubrey Paige Petcosky, which ended recently. During a March 11 episode of “Wheel of Fortune,” Seacrest shared a vulnerable moment as he discussed relationships with a contestant. Jill McDaniel from Lakewood, Colorado, mentioned hosting “discussion dinners” with friends, inspiring Seacrest to ask her about her ‘biggest fear.’ McDaniel’s candid answers sparked meaningful dialogue, leading Seacrest to admit that, for him, relationships are a fear of his own.
“Oh, my biggest fear? Erm… spiders? Spiders is a big one,” replied White when Seacrest turned the question onto her. They shared a lighthearted moment that resonated with viewers. Seacrest then stated to the camera, “Relationships,” eliciting a fist bump from McDaniel, who mirrored his sentiment.
Despite not being tied down by marriage, Seacrest previously expressed his affection for the idea. In 2017, he told former co-host Kelly Ripa, “I love the idea [of getting married]. I know you’re going to ask me about marriage because my parents have been married for 47 years, and I figure the longer I wait, the older I’ll be, the closer to death I am, so I can get it in and not screw it up.”
As the week progresses, fans are also buzzing about White’s fashion choices on “Wheel of Fortune.” She has sported numerous trendy outfits, contributing to the festive atmosphere of iHeartRadio Week, celebrated by both the show and its hosts.
With a shift in her usual attire, White wore an all-black sleeveless pantsuit on Monday and followed it up with a chic black leather skirt teamed with a matching turtle-neck top on Tuesday. Each outfit has received praise from fans who feel her new look aligns with a more youthful, bold theme designed to match Seacrest’s style.
“Vanna has a new look — so different from her usual style. What do we think?” asked one fan. Another commented positively on the rock vibe suited to the week’s theme.
As White continues to captivate audiences with her fashion and charm, the question remains whether she will succeed in setting up Seacrest with potential partners before the next season’s airing.
