Vanna White Gets First Tattoo from Daughter Gigi Santo Pietro

VENICE, Calif. — Vanna White, co-host of the popular game show ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ celebrated a milestone moment on March 10 when she received her first tattoo, a heart inked by her daughter Gigi Santo Pietro, a professional tattoo artist. The emotional moment was shared in a video posted on White’s Instagram page.
At the age of 68, White had long considered getting a tattoo, stating the heartfelt decision was inspired by her desire to have a permanent reminder of her daughter’s artistry. ‘I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time,’ White admitted in the video, which showcased their special experience at Lincoln Tattoo Company in Venice.
Before the tattoo commenced, White emphasized, ‘She’s not making me do this. It’s my choice.’ She opted for a delicate heart design on her wrist, a symbol of love that she can look at every day. ‘So I can look at it every day because she did it,’ explained White.
As they discussed options for the tattoo, including colors and shape, White expressed a preference for a dainty hot pink outline. ‘I think I want pink,’ she said, excitedly narrowing down her choices under her daughter’s guidance. ‘It’s meant to be. We’ve chosen a color,’ she said, finally selecting a hue with a hint of salmon.
Amid lighthearted banter, Gigi reassured her mother, telling her not to worry, while White expressed nervousness at the prospect of the tattoo needle. ‘I might pass out,’ she joked just before the tattooing began. However, once the process started, White was pleasantly surprised by the lack of discomfort, exclaiming, ‘That’s it? I don’t feel anything.’
Once the tattoo was complete, White was visibly ecstatic with the outcome. ‘It looks perfect. It’s just what I wanted!’ she gushed, thanking Gigi for her dedication and skill. Gigi reflected on her journey as a tattoo artist, saying, ‘Mom, my art is on someone’s body for the rest of their lives,’ to which her mother responded with pride, ‘You have to be so good and confident. You can’t mess up.’
The bond between the two was evident throughout the video, wrapping up with a heartfelt hug as White proudly showcased her new tattoo, a symbol of both her love for her daughter and a new chapter in her life.
