Vegas Golden Knights Launch NHL Learn to Play Program in January
VEGAS (November 14, 2025) – The Vegas Golden Knights have announced a five-week Outdoor NHL Learn to Play program starting January 4, 2026, at the Marty Pavelich Ice Rink. The sessions will run on Sundays from 10-11 a.m. MT and are open to boys and girls aged 4 to 10.
The program aims to help young players develop their hockey skills in a supportive environment. Each participant will receive a full set of new hockey equipment, along with coaching and five weeks of ice time. Basic skating ability is required for participation.
Following the first session on January 4, the Golden Knights will host a free VGK Youth Hockey Clinic from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. MT for children aged 9 to 13, also requiring basic skating competency. Notable figures from the Golden Knights organization will be present, including Sheri Hudspeth, VGK Alumni Deryk Engelland, and team mascot Chance.
Before the Learn to Play session, Engelland will sign autographs and take photos from 9-10 a.m. MT at the rink. Parents interested in enrolling their children can register online.
The Vegas Golden Knights, established by owner Bill Foley in 2017, is a National Hockey League franchise and previously won the Stanley Cup in 2022-23.
