NEW YORK – Verizon Communications Inc. announced today a significant advancement in its consumer business transformation, launching a three-year price lock guarantee across its mobile and home internet offerings. This initiative aims to strengthen customer loyalty and enhance predictability in a fluctuating economic environment.

Hans Vestberg, Verizon’s Chairman and CEO, emphasized the importance of renewing relationships with consumers. “We are redefining our relationship with consumers by building on our industry-leading network and innovative offerings,” Vestberg said. “By giving unprecedented value and predictability across both mobile and home, we are establishing the new industry standard for a long-term customer relationship.”

Sowmyanarayan Sampath, CEO of Verizon Consumer, added, “We’re committed to delivering what our customers want and need, offering more control, value, and simplicity. That’s why we’re proud to introduce this industry-leading guarantee.”

Effective immediately, Verizon’s price lock guarantee applies to both new and existing customers, securing the base rate for three years. Customers switching plans will reset the three-year guarantee with their new choice, meaning even minor changes can maintain their fixed rate. Notably, there are no penalties for customers who decide to cancel their service.

In addition to protective pricing, Verizon is also unveiling a free device offer. Customers can receive a complimentary phone when they trade in any old device—regardless of its condition—from brands like Apple, Samsung, or Google. This offer includes a home router for internet service customers.

The promotional details also highlight that the trade-in phone must be active on the account for at least 60 days, and promotional credit up to $1,000 can apply over 36 months depending on the current plan. Moreover, customers can access various offers that may bring savings of over 40% on popular streaming services.

In response to increasing competition in the telecom sector, this announcement appears strategically timed. As the market navigates economic challenges, Verizon is looking to provide reassurance through consumer-centric value propositions. The price lock guarantees the base monthly rates, but fees and taxes are not included, allowing Verizon some flexibility in its pricing model.

Analysts suggest that while the guarantees offer predictability, customers should pay careful attention to the fine print regarding fees and eligibility. “Understanding the specifics of these offers is crucial to ensure customers know exactly what benefits they are signing up for,” a telecom industry expert advised.

This move reinforces Verizon’s position as it aims to enhance customer retention and sustainable revenue growth in a rapidly evolving industry landscape. For more information about these new offerings, customers can visit Verizon’s official website.
