Tuesday’s surf forecast indicates a moderate risk of rip currents, with surf conditions expected to be between 2 and 4 feet with mixed swells from the northwest. Marine forecasters also predict northwest wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots in the outer coastal waters near San Clemente Island.
The National Weather Service noted that night and morning low clouds and fog are expected each day throughout the week, but a shift in conditions will occur by Friday.
As an area of low pressure moves out, warmer weather is anticipated for the end of the week, with inland temperatures rising into the 80s and possibly reaching the 90s in eastern valleys and foothills.
On Sunday, a closed low off Baja California may draw in some tropical moisture, bringing a slight chance of showers, especially in the mountains. The overall trend will be for temperatures to drop slightly before gradually warming again into the following week.
