Winning $70 Million Lotto Max Ticket Purchased in Ontario
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has announced that a lucky individual has won the Lotto Max jackpot worth $70 million, purchasing their ticket in the Timiskaming-Cochrane area of northeastern Ontario.
This victory marks the fifth Lotto Max jackpot awarded in Ontario since the start of April, adding to a total of $265 million distributed to winners over the past four months.
The recent Lotto Max draw took place on August 20, 2024, with the winning numbers being: 02, 11, 12, 21, 24, 38, 39, and the Bonus number 33.
The OLG’s release also highlighted that there were numerous Maxmillions winners, with half of the 14 Maxmillions tickets sold from this draw being purchased in Ontario.
<p Lottery officials noted that million-dollar prizes were also won in the cities of Peterborough, Ottawa, Mississauga, and Toronto, along with those purchased online at OLG.ca.
In addition, the draw produced three winning Encore tickets valued at $1 million each, sold in Unionville, Kingston, and Ottawa.
To claim their prize, the holder of the winning ticket will need to answer a series of questions regarding the purchase to establish their identity as the rightful winner, according to OLG spokesperson Tony Bitonti.
