US Women’s National Team Prepares for Friendlies Against China and Jamaica

MIAMI, Florida – May 28, 2025 – Telemundo is set to provide comprehensive coverage of two upcoming friendly matches for the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) in the next two weeks. The U.S. team will face the People’s Republic of China on Saturday, May 31 at 5 p.m. ET at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota, with live broadcasts on Universo and Peacock.

The match against China will be the first encounter between the two teams since late 2023. The Chinese team is preparing for the upcoming 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, which will serve as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Meanwhile, the U.S. team is gearing up for the Concacaf qualifiers, scheduled for the fall of 2026.

Telemundo’s coverage will feature a star-studded lineup of commentators. Carlota Vizmanos will host the broadcasts, with Jorge Calvo providing play-by-play narration and professional soccer coach Natalia Astrain serving as an analyst for the match against China. For the game against Jamaica, legendary sports commentator Andrés Cantor, an eight-time Emmy Award winner, will narrate the event, again joined by Astrain as an analyst.
