WWE Stars Roxanne Perez and Trick Williams Poised for Main Roster Debut
Following their recent losses in NXT, WWE fans are speculating that Roxanne Perez and Trick Williams may soon join the main roster. The duo, who have been standout performers in WWE’s developmental brand, are expected to make the leap to Raw or SmackDown in the coming months.
During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, WWE alumni Tommy Dreamer discussed potential creative directions for Williams. Dreamer suggested pairing Williams with ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso, another popular babyface, to capitalize on their crowd-pleasing entrances. Dreamer also proposed reigniting Williams’ feud with Carmelo Hayes, his former ally turned rival from their NXT days. ‘There’s a built storyline right there,’ Dreamer said. ‘You could have Hayes say, ‘Hey, let’s hook back up and take this company by storm,’ and Williams could respond, ‘No, man, I want to do it on my own.”
Hayes, a first-round pick in the 2024 WWE Draft, has had a mixed run on SmackDown, with notable title opportunities but inconsistent results. Dreamer believes a feud between Hayes and Williams could elevate both stars. ‘Trick is going to have to grow. He has all the tools. He just needs the push,’ Dreamer added.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Green, the current Women’s United States Champion, continues to make waves on the main roster. Green recently shared a video celebrating her title reign, which included a cameo from actress Vanessa Hudgens. Hudgens, a self-proclaimed fan of Green, praised the champion despite her ‘obnoxious’ personality. ‘Most people can’t stand you, but you know what? I’m a fan, and we are all in this together,’ Hudgens said.
NXT commentator Booker T also weighed in on Green’s success, calling her title win well-deserved. ‘She’s just been going out, doing the job every single night, to the best of her ability, win or lose,’ Booker T said. ‘If everybody adopted that same sentiment, they would put themselves in a better position to win.’
As WWE continues to build its next generation of stars, the potential main roster debuts of Perez and Williams, along with Green’s growing prominence, signal an exciting future for the company.
