WWE and TNA Wrestling Announce Historic Multi-Year Partnership
STAMFORD, Conn. – WWE®, part of TKO Group Holdings, and TNA Wrestling, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, announced a groundbreaking multi-year partnership on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The collaboration aims to create unprecedented crossover opportunities between WWE’s NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars, allowing talent to gain exposure across both brands’ flagship programming, including NXT on The CW and TNA iMPACT! on AXS TV.
“This historic relationship demonstrates that collaboration and competition do not have to be mutually exclusive,” said Ariel Shnerer, Senior Vice President of Content & Distribution for TNA Wrestling and Anthem Sports & Entertainment. “Our partnership allows the TNA Wrestling brand and its incredible athletes to reach a significantly wider audience, while giving WWE and NXT stars an opportunity to cross the line and gain valuable experience.”
The partnership builds on a year of successful talent exchanges, including appearances by former TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry on NXT programming. Grace challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground, while Hendry faced Ethan Page for the NXT Championship at No Mercy. NXT Superstars such as Wes Lee, Charlie Dempsey, and Arianna Grace have also appeared on TNA Wrestling shows.
Shawn Michaels, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, emphasized the partnership’s potential to elevate talent development and viewer experiences. “We look forward to growing and evolving our partnership with TNA Wrestling and its outstanding group of athletes by creating new opportunities to further the development of our talent and to elevate the viewer experience at home,” Michaels said.
TNA iMPACT! airs on AXS TV and TNA+ in the U.S., with international distribution on platforms like Sportsnet 360 in Canada. WWE’s NXT, which moved to The CW in November 2023, continues to expand its reach as part of WWE’s global media strategy. The partnership is expected to yield more crossover appearances, with speculation already mounting about potential TNA entrants in WWE’s upcoming Royal Rumble on February 1 in Indianapolis.
