Zach LaVine to Miss Wednesday’s Game Against Mavericks Due to Thigh Injury
Zach LaVine, the two-time All-Star and leading scorer for the Chicago Bulls, will not play in Wednesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks due to a right adductor strain. This injury marks the second consecutive game LaVine will miss, following his absence in the team’s recent loss to the Utah Jazz.
LaVine initially suffered the adductor strain during the Bulls’ victory over the Orlando Magic on October 30. Despite the injury, he played against the Brooklyn Nets, scoring 21 points, but was subsequently given the night off against the Jazz. His status remains questionable, but he has been ruled out for the Mavericks game.
In LaVine’s absence, Ayo Dosunmu is expected to start in his place, while Dalen Terry and Talen Horton-Tucker may see increased minutes off the bench. LaVine’s next opportunity to return to the court will be on Thursday when the Bulls face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Bulls are also dealing with other injuries, including Lonzo Ball who is out with a right wrist ailment. However, Patrick Williams, Jalen Smith, and Josh Giddey are listed as probable for the game against the Mavericks.
The Dallas Mavericks, too, are facing their own set of injuries, with PJ Washington, Maxi Kleber, and Dante Exum ruled out for the game. Dereck Lively II is listed as doubtful due to a right shoulder sprain.
