Former Cleveland Browns center Ethan Pocic is signing a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, sources told ESPN‘s Adam Schefter. Pocic will have a chance to replace former Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum, who signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Pocic, 30, became a free agent after his contract voided on March 15. He made 57 starts for the Browns over the past four seasons but sustained a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 13 of the 2025 season. Pocic was cleared this summer to participate in training camp with one source telling Schefter that he is “full go.”
He ranked 26th out of 31 qualifying centers in pass block win rate and 11th out of 32 qualifying centers in run block win rate. A second-round pick (No. 58 overall) by the Seattle Seahawks in 2017, Pocic joined the Browns as a free agent on a one-year deal before the 2022 season. He signed a three-year, $18 million deal in March 2023.
Free agent center Ethan Pocic has agreed to a one-year deal with the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The Ravens lost three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum to the Raiders in free agency. Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn and Corey Bullock are the other centers on the roster, and they have combined for 10 career starts, all by Pinter.
Pocic, who turns 31 next month, spent the past four seasons in Cleveland. He was recently medically cleared after tearing his left Achilles in a Dec. 8 game against the Tennessee Titans. He is entering his 10th season since the Seahawks made him a second-round pick in 2017. Pocic spent five seasons in Seattle, appearing in 57 games with 40 starts. He signed with the Browns as a free agent in 2022 and started 57 games for the club.
Baltimore lost Tyler Linderbaum in free agency and lacked certainty at the center position all offseason. Danny Pinter, a 5th-round pick in 2020 who has only started 10 games in his career, led the team’s depth chart heading into training camp. Pocic spent four years with the Browns, starting 57 games, after five years with the Seattle Seahawks, who had drafted him in the second round of the 2017 draft. An Achilles injury in December ended Pocic’s 2025 season and his career in Cleveland.
