GBI raids Yurezz Home Center in multi-state fraud probe

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant Thursday at Yurezz Home Center in Baxley, part of a fraud investigation stretching across multiple states.

The warrant follows last week’s arrest of Richard Altman, co-owner of the mobile home dealership, on charges of illegal transmission of monetary funds in Louisiana. The FBI‘s Savannah Resident Agency is assisting, along with other local and federal law enforcement.

Earlier this month, 21st Mortgage Corporation—one of the nation’s largest manufactured home lenders—filed a lawsuit against Richard and Heather Altman, the co-owners, alleging a dispute over financed inventory.

The GBI is now asking potential victims to come forward. Because of the investigation’s complexity, officials are centralizing information from those who may have been defrauded. If you believe you did not receive goods or services purchased from Yurezz Home Center between 2025 and 2026, you can report via the See Something, Send Something app, call 1-800-597-TIPS (8477) and select Option 2, or submit online. Include your name, contact number, and a brief description.

“We appreciate your patience as we manage the anticipated volume of complaints associated with this complex and ongoing investigation,” the GBI stated.

WTOC has covered allegations against Yurezz Home Center for weeks and will continue to provide updates.
