San Diego Comic-Con 2026 erupted with Marvel news as the studio took over Hall H. From Thursday through Sunday, July 23-26, a jam-packed schedule unfolded, featuring panels, meet-ups, and reveals across TV, games, and more.
In Hall H, Insomniac Games surprised fans with a brand-new story trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine. The trailer opened with a confrontation between an enraged Logan and Jean Grey, also spotlighting foes like the Hand and Deathstrike. A prequel comic, written by Narrative Director Walt Williams with art by Luke Ross and cover by Iban Coello, will precede the game.
Phoenix Cyclops, voiced by Ray Chase, was announced as the first additional character for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls as part of the game’s Year 1 plan. Inspired by the Phoenix Five incarnation in Avengers vs. X-Men (2012), this Cyclops sports a bold new look. Game producer Takeshi Yamanaka and localization director Amber Seitz from Arc System Works discussed the game’s high-octane anime opening.
Armageddon has fallen upon the Marvel Universe, and writers Chip Zdarsky and Joshua Williamson teased the future: Zdarsky’s upcoming Avengers (2026) run, the newly announced MAXIMUM X-MEN (2026) by Christopher Yost and Tony S. Daniel, and two new arcs in Iron Man (2026). The series will ship twice a month, with ‘The Incarcerated Iron Man’ in Iron Man #12 leading to Iron Man #700 in March 2027. Artists Carmen Carnero and Gleb Melnikov will handle alternating issues.
NetEase Games and Marvel Games spotlighted Marvel Rivals announcements, including a new Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Age of Ultron PVE mode launching July 30. Players battle as Avengers against Ultron’s army. Also unveiled: a 12-inch collector plush of Jeff the Land Shark by Mattel, with an in-game costume code.
Spinning out of the cosmic event Queen in Black (2026), Mary Jane Watson and Venom turn new pages in their respective series. Predator vs. Punisher, a four-issue series by Frank Tieri and Jesús Saíz, pits the galaxy’s deadliest hunter against Marvel’s most relentless vigilante. Tieri teased, ‘This is the series that’ll answer the age-old question of who is pop culture’s greatest killing machine.’
Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 panel gathered voice cast and filmmakers. Showrunner Beau DeMayo and star Cal Dodd revisited the series. Brad Winderbaum confirmed seasons three and four are in the works, with test footage of the Brotherhood of Mutants shown. The Midnight line—Midnight Spider-Man, Midnight Fantastic Four, and Midnight X-Men—revealed second issue covers, with writers Jonathan Hickman, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, and Benjamin Percy.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gave an exclusive look at the MCU’s future: Avengers: Doomsday, a Ghost Rider film starring Ryan Gosling, and a third Black Panther film from Ryan Coogler starring David Jonsson. Hayley Atwell confirmed her return as Peggy Carter. The star-studded Hall H stage included Robert Downey Jr., Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans, and many others.
Beyond Marvel, Apple TV+ brought stars for ‘Widow’s Bay,’ ‘Matchbox The Movie,’ ‘Dark Matter’ season two, ‘Mayday,’ and ‘Silo‘ season three. ‘Matchbox’ stars Jessica Biel, John Cena, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, and Teyonah Parris. John Cena walked the red carpet with his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh.
Paramount+’s ‘Star Trek‘ panel celebrated the franchise’s 60th anniversary, with stars like Jerry O’Connell, Michelle Hurd, George Takei, Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, and Ethan Peck.
