7 Brew launches mobile app to fuel growth, loyalty with new rewards

7 Brew has launched a new mobile app, a move that could sharpen its competitive edge by driving sales and deepening the pool of consumer data it collects. The drive-thru coffee chain is betting that digital engagement will help sustain its explosive growth.

Digital channels have become essential for quick-service restaurants, especially coffee brands. Starbucks Rewards, for example, counts 35.8 million active members in the U.S., and the platform has played a pivotal role in the company’s turnaround. Dutch Bros has similarly leveraged mobile ordering to double brand awareness in 18 months and turn the chain into a habitual stop for many customers.

7 Brew’s own trajectory has been nothing short of remarkable. The company began 2023 with just 24 stores and started 2026 with 604, according to its franchise disclosure document. It now operates upwards of 800 locations, per the company’s press release, and projects 447 new openings this year—enough to cross the 1,000-unit threshold. As of the end of 2025, 7 Brew had signed development agreements for 3,100 future stores.

The brand’s model revolves around drive-thrus; only two of its stores are without the channel. The new app is designed to fit that flow, with orders “prepared fresh upon arrival at the stand, ensuring guests enjoy their favorite drink exactly at intended peak freshness,” the release states. Customization is a headline feature—chief marketing officer Nick Chaves says the app offers up to 20,000 drink combinations. It also unlocks the chain’s secret menu for the first time.

To encourage adoption, 7 Brew is linking the app to its loyalty program. Currently, members earn 100 points per visit and can redeem 1,000 points for a free drink of any size. Going forward, they can stockpile points and trade them for branded merchandise, such as letterman jackets or a 7 Brew-themed mini-fridge. The company is also running a promotion that gives members a chance to win 100,000 points—roughly enough for a free drink every week for two years.
