Hollywood oddsmakers are having their say on ‘Black Panther 3,’ and the picture they’re painting is one of familiar faces. Betting platform Kalshi has released fan-driven predictions for Ryan Coogler’s upcoming Marvel sequel, and one name towers above the rest.
According to Kalshi’s betting page, Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o holds an 86% chance of returning to the franchise as Nakia. That makes her the overwhelming favorite among those placing real money on the film’s cast.
Right behind her are Danai Gurira and Daniel Kaluuya, both sitting at 70%. Gurira’s fierce general Okoye and Kaluuya’s W’Kabi were cornerstones of the first two films, and fans are clearly expecting both to rejoin Wakanda’s story.
The list doesn’t stop there. Other names generating buzz include Angela Bassett, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danny Ramirez, Dominique Thorne, and Tenoch Huerta. Each has connections to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe, and their potential cameos have the betting markets buzzing.
It’s important to note that these are nothing more than fan predictions. Marvel Studios has made no official announcement about which actors will appear in ‘Black Panther 3.’ But the reasoning behind the odds isn’t hard to follow.
Nakia is one of the franchise’s central characters, playing a pivotal role across both previous installments. The upcoming film is expected to focus on the adult Prince T’Challa II, son of the late Chadwick Boseman’s King T’Challa. Since Nakia is the prince’s mother, her involvement seems less a matter of if and more a matter of when.
The casting of that young prince was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026, with Marvel confirming that David Jonsson would take on the role of T’Challa II, ready to carry the Black Panther mantle forward.
Also returning are Letitia Wright as Shuri and Winston Duke as M’Baku, both of whom will appear in ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ before rejoining the Black Panther saga.
Other cast members remain under wraps, but the speculation is already heating up.
‘Black Panther 3’ is slated to hit theaters on December 15, 2028. Originally reported by SuperHeroHype.
