AIC Mines Profit Jumps 177% to $41.5 Million on Copper Prices

AIC Mines Limited has reported a staggering 177 per cent jump in net profit after tax to $41.49 million for the financial year ended 30 June 2026, driven by stronger copper and gold prices and solid operational performance. The company’s previous year profit stood at just $14.96 million, according to the audited Appendix 4E filing released today.

Sales revenue climbed 29 per cent to $245.23 million, up from $189.55 million a year earlier, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation surged 71 per cent to $108.11 million. Statutory profit before income tax more than tripled, rising 230 per cent to $60.60 million. The financial statements were audited by KPMG.

Basic earnings per share came in at 5.27 cents, compared with 2.60 cents in the prior year. Diluted earnings per share rose to 5.02 cents from 2.46 cents. Net tangible assets per share strengthened to 46.56 cents, up from 39.37 cents. Notably, the company did not pay or declare any dividends in either year.

The miner’s principal activities remain exploration, mine development and production, and the sale of copper concentrate in Australia. Management highlighted major capital investment in the Eloise plant expansion and the Jericho mine development as key drivers for future growth.

In a first for AIC Mines, climate-related risks and opportunities were disclosed under the Australian Accounting Standards Board’s AASB S2, signalling a new era of transparency for the company and its stakeholders.

The board is chaired by Non-Executive Chairman Josef El-Raghy, with Aaron Colleran serving as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Non-Executive Directors include Brett Montgomery, Jon Young, and Linda Hale, while Audrey Ferguson holds the role of Company Secretary. The company’s registered office is located in Subiaco, Western Australia.
