Hey sports fans, gather around! It’s about to get lit this week with Pat McAfee taking center stage!
That’s right, folks! The hilarious former Colts punter is leaving his usual broadcasting gig behind—at least for a moment. The Pat McAfee Show didn’t make its appearance on Thursday, or Friday. Instead, McAfee is bringing the charm and craziness to College GameDay, gearing up for the exciting College Football Playoff Semifinals!
On Thursday, McAfee will be live at the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also pulling double duty with the Peach Bowl in Atlanta the very next day. Talk about a busy man! And honestly, who wouldn’t want to roam the sidelines and yell into a mic during some of the best college football action of the year?
Oh and don’t you worry, for all the McAfee fans out there, while his usual show is hitting the snooze button until Monday, January 12, he won’t leave you high and dry! He’s hosting Field Pass with the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN2 at 7:40 p.m. ET both days. Expect “entertaining, free-flowing commentary” and a pool of guests including his usual crew: AJ Hawk, Darius Butler, and other familiar faces ready to dissect the action.
So while we’re missing our daily dose of McAfee laughs, it’s for a good cause—college football fever! And don’t forget, ESPN is coming at us hard with a mega lineup for the Playoff Semifinals; there will be more than 20 broadcasts throughout the two days, because why not drown us in football goodness?
Just to give you a sneak peek of what’s going down—Thursday features No. 6 Ole Miss going toe-to-toe with No. 10 Miami at the Fiesta Bowl. Kickoff? Set for 7:30 p.m. ET! Then on Friday, No. 1 Indiana clashes with No. 5 Oregon at the Peach Bowl. Once again, we’re talking evening fireworks at the same 7:30 p.m. ET time—mark it in your calendars, folks!
And guess what? ESPN isn’t just sticking to the basics. There are other watching options like SEC Network, ACC Network, and even exclusive digital content. So put down the remote and get that popcorn ready! This is going to be the football weekend of a lifetime!
If you’re wondering how to watch—head over to the ESPN App, where they’ve got your back; you can stream all the action, catch highlights, and even get involved with fantasy football and betting odds. It’s the whole package!
So don your jerseys, paint your faces, and let’s get this football party started! Can’t wait to see how McAfee spices up the sidelines. Cheers to a wild week of college football!
