Miranda Rijnsburger celebrates her 61st birthday today, maintaining the elegance and discretion that have always characterized her.
This last year has not been easy for her, after two women who worked for her husband, Julio Iglesias, reported him at the beginning of 2026 for alleged physical and sexual assaults.
The case was dismissed by the justice system in Spain because it did not occur in Spain, and it was attributed to other jurisdictions.
Although the marriage has for years involved separate lives, with both residing in different places, the Dutch former model has shown she continues to support him unconditionally.
Their lives crossed in 1990 at Jakarta airport, in Indonesia. When he saw Rijnsburger, who was then working as a model, Iglesias, who was already an international star, felt an instant crush.
The artist invited her to one of his concerts and she accepted. Although few details are known about how that first date went, the evening must have gone really well, because the model agreed to accompany him during the rest of his tour of Asia.
Little by little, they consolidated their relationship until they moved together to Indian Creek, an exclusive island in Miami.
Seven years later they welcomed their first child together, Miguel Alejandro, who was followed by Rodrigo, born in 1999; the twins Victoria and Cristina, in 2001; and finally Guillermo, in 2007.
A total of five children who joined the three that the artist already had from his first marriage to Isabel Preysler: Chábeli, Julio José, and Enrique Iglesias.
Despite having consolidated their relationship and formed a large family, the couple did not walk down the aisle until 2010, exactly two decades after starting their courtship.
They did so in the strictest privacy and fleeing the spotlight, as Miranda has always preferred. Their wedding was celebrated on 24 August 2010 in Marbella with the only presence of their five children together, two witnesses, and two employees of the family.
The religious ceremony took place at the parish of the Virgen del Carmen and was officiated by Father Luis de Lezama.
One of the details that emerged was that Miranda wore two white dresses by Oscar de la Renta, a personal friend of the singer and business partner.
The groom also dressed in white, with cotton trousers and a linen shirt, and the children wore outfits in the same tone.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued at the estate that the performer owns near Marbella, where they enjoyed an intimate dinner and the traditional wedding cake.
