Delta Air Lines Flight Boeing 757 Mechanical Issue

ATLANTA, Ga. – A Delta Air Lines flight was forced to return to Jacksonville International Airport on Wednesday due to a mechanical problem.

Delta Flight 1329, a Boeing 757, had just departed for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the crew detected a possible malfunction with the aircraft’s flaps. As a safety measure, the crew opted to turn back to Jacksonville and successfully landed the plane without incident.

Emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, were on standby upon the flight’s return. The aircraft arrived at the gate safely, and all 176 passengers were unharmed.

According to FlightAware, the passengers eventually reached Atlanta at 9:14 p.m. Delta released a statement emphasizing, “Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people — that’s why the flight crew followed their training and procedures to return to Jacksonville when a potential mechanical issue was observed. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travels.”
