Girona Fc Vs Valencia Cf Match Preview

GIRONA, Spain — Girona FC will host Valencia CF on Saturday, hoping to secure their first victory in the 2025-26 La Liga season. The match is set to kick off at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi at 3:15 PM UK time.

Girona, currently sitting at the bottom of the La Liga table with just three points from seven matches, has struggled, recording three draws and four defeats. Their most recent match ended in a 2-2 draw against Espanyol, showcasing signs of resilience but still leaving them without a win this season.

“This match is a chance for us to turn things around,” said Girona coach Michel. “We’ve been close, but we need to finish the job and get those three points.” Last season, Girona finished 16th in La Liga but managed to claim third place in the 2023-24 season.

On the other side, Valencia CF is positioned 12th on the table with eight points, following two wins, two draws, and three defeats. Their latest match was a disappointing 2-1 home loss to Real Oviedo, where they conceded two late goals after leading early in the game.

Valencia head coach Corberan will bring a full squad, including notable players like Arnaut Danjuma and Diego López, both of whom have been crucial this season with three goals each.

“We need to refocus and fight for every point to climb the table,” said Danjuma. “Every match is important, especially against teams like Girona.”

Historically, Girona has had an edge in their recent encounters with Valencia, winning three of their last five meetings. In their last match-up on March 15, 2025, the teams played to a 1-1 draw.

As Girona looks to break their winless streak and Valencia aims to find consistency, the upcoming match promises high stakes for both sides.
