Jenna Johnson Hospital Son Recovery

Los Angeles, CA – Jenna Johnson, a professional dancer on ‘Dancing With the Stars’, shared an update about her 2-year-old son, Rome, who was briefly hospitalized. Johnson reassured her followers on October 6 that Rome is recovering after spending a night in the hospital.

In a heartfelt post on her Instagram Stories, Johnson, 31, described the emotional night. She included a video of herself holding Rome while he wore an oxygen mask, and her husband Val Chmerkovskiy, 39, comforted their son by showing him cartoons on his phone. “Wanna preface this by saying everything’s fine now and thank goodness Rome is home sleeping,” she wrote.

Although Johnson did not disclose the reason for Rome’s hospital visit, she expressed her gratitude for Chmerkovskiy’s support. Johnson praised him as a rock during the stressful situation, noting, “Not one time mentioning his exhaustion or lack of sleep going into a show day.”

Chmerkovskiy, who was scheduled to perform the next morning, remained focused on his family. Johnson shared his dedication in her post, saying, “Beyond grateful to do life with you.”

This isn’t the first health scare for the young boy. In May, Johnson informed fans that Rome had a “rough night” due to breathing issues. She previously reported that he was treated for a bad case of croup but recovered quickly after medical care.

As both parents quickly returned to their professional lives, they remained in the spotlight. Chmerkovskiy, paired with social media star Alix Earle, performed during the Disney Night episode of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ on October 7, despite the previous night’s challenges.

Fans have shown immense support for the couple. Many praised their teamwork as parents, with one viewer writing, “Val and Jenna are such an inspiration.” As they moved on from this health scare, the couple shared heartfelt moments with their son on social media, thanking fans for their concern.
