New Episode of DMV Features Colette’s Hilarious Efforts at Work
LOS ANGELES, CA — In the latest episode of CBS’s comedy DMV, titled “Stay in Your Lane,” tensions escalate at the East Hollywood branch due to a heat wave and malfunctioning air conditioning. The episode aired on October 20, 2025, and follows new employee Colette, played by Harriet Dyer, who worries about her crush Noa‘s well-being after a chaotic incident leads a co-worker to quit.
During a chaotic day dubbed “Washout Wednesday,” Colette fears that Noa might also leave the DMV. In an attempt to help him, she takes an unconventional approach that backfires when they encounter a woman Noa met while surfing. Colette’s efforts to preserve his job lead to unexpected reunions and awkward moments.
Gregg, a more seasoned employee, played by an unnamed actor, chastises Colette for her intense focus on keeping Noa. He points out that she has not shown the same level of concern for her other coworkers. “You never took such an interest in preserving other employees’ jobs,” he tells her, highlighting the imbalance in her priorities.
As Colette contemplates quitting her job, Gregg offers her a pep talk, revealing that her passion is what allows him a more laid-back approach. “He needs her there to make everything sort of balance out,” says Meadows, the actor playing Gregg. He notes that their dynamic resembles that of a mentor and mentee, suggesting Colette still has room to grow.
One of the amusing aspects of this episode is the character Barb, who repeatedly mentions Sacramento as “Big Sac,” creating a comedic undertone throughout their discussions. Meadows laughs about Barb’s unintentional innuendos, stating, “You’ll hear ‘big sac’ a lot,” highlighting the blend of humor within workplace tensions.
As the episode concludes, viewers learn that Noa decides to remain at the DMV, leaving audiences eager to see how the evolving relationship between Colette and Noa will unfold in future episodes. DMV airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.
