William Levy Stars in Upcoming Action-Romance Bajo Un Volcán

Tenerife, Spain – Telenovela star William Levy is set to star in the action-romance film Bajo Un Volcán, which premieres on the ViX streaming platform on November 24. The film, shot in Tenerife, also features Spanish actress Maggie Civantos.

In Bajo Un Volcán, Levy plays Captain Mario Torres, a military pilot and evacuation expert who responds to seismic warnings on the island. The plot intensifies when volcanologist Dani, played by Civantos, warns of an impending eruption, leading to a race against time as the volcano comes to life.

“No one believes her until the volcano erupts,” said a representative for the film. “She and Mario must navigate nature’s wrath and their budding romance.”

The film is directed by Martín Cuervo, known for his works La Bandera and Todos lo hacen. In addition to Levy and Civantos, the cast includes Fabiola Guajardo, Adriana Torrebejano, Elia Galera, Antón Lofer, and Pino Montesdeoca.

Levy, who also serves as the executive producer, expressed excitement about the film, stating, “I’m thrilled to premiere my first film shot in Spain and to do so with ViX, a service that connects in such a special way with Spanish-speaking audiences.”

Bajo Un Volcán was first released in Spanish cinemas in June before it becomes available exclusively in the United States and Latin America on ViX after its streaming premiere.
