Apple Airpods Pro 3 Firmware Update

Cupertino, California – Apple has released new firmware for the AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4, and the previous generation AirPods Pro 2 on November 13, 2025. The updates are aimed at enhancing performance and introducing new features.

The AirPods Pro 3 firmware has been updated to version 8B25, while AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 have received version 8B21. These updates come from the earlier firmware version 8A358 released in October.

Although Apple has not detailed the specific changes included in this firmware update, it is anticipated that the AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 will have expanded support for Live Translation in the European Union with the upcoming iOS 26.2 update. This update is currently in beta testing.

To install the new firmware, users need to ensure their AirPods are within Bluetooth range of an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, which should be connected to Wi-Fi. Users should place their AirPods in the charging case and connect the case to a power source while keeping the lid closed for at least 30 minutes.

Apple has a reputation for enhancing functionalities with its firmware updates, and this one might also bring bug fixes and performance upgrades. Users have expressed varying experiences with the updates, with some noting improvements in features such as conversation awareness and noise cancellation.

The details of the firmware changes are expected to be published in Apple’s official notes when available. As users await this information, they can check their current firmware version through the Bluetooth settings on their connected devices.
