STILLWATER, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Cowboys are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak as they host the Kansas State Wildcats today at Boone Pickens Stadium at 11 a.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.

The Cowboys, with a record of 1-8 and 0-6 in Big 12 play, have struggled this season, losing every conference matchup by double digits. Kansas State enters the game with a 4-5 overall record and is favored by 19.5 points.

While Oklahoma State aims for a much-needed win, they will also celebrate the induction of former star wide receiver Justin Blackmon into their Ring of Honor. Blackmon is renowned as one of the best receivers in college football history, winning the Fred Biletnikoff Award twice during his career.

In his sophomore season in 2010, Blackmon set an NCAA record by racking up 1,782 receiving yards and scoring 20 touchdowns, the seventh-most in a single season. He followed that with a junior year in which he caught 122 passes for 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns, earning MVP honors in both the 2010 Alamo Bowl and 2012 Fiesta Bowl.

Blackmon’s record-setting career includes an unprecedented 14 straight games with at least 100 receiving yards and 14 consecutive games with a touchdown. Over his time at Oklahoma State, he totaled 253 receptions, 3,564 yards, and 42 touchdowns.

As the Cowboys take the field today, fans will celebrate Blackmon’s legacy amidst the team’s fight to turn their season around.
