Eagles Lions Nfl Game November 2025

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Eagles edged the Detroit Lions 16-9 in a tightly contested NFC matchup on Sunday Night Football, improving their season record to 8-2.

Both teams relied heavily on their defenses, but the Eagles were able to outlast the Lions despite a challenging night offensively. Philadelphia’s defense performed exceptionally, limiting Detroit to points on just two of its 12 drives.

Detroit entered the game with a high-scoring reputation, but struggled to find rhythm. Eagles lineman Jordan Davis logged three batted passes, while teammate Jalen Carter contributed two more. Quarterback Jared Goff faced intense pressure, completing only 14 of 37 passes for 255 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.

The Eagles took a commanding lead late in the first half with a touchdown and a field goal, going into halftime with a 13-6 advantage. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 135 yards and rushed for a touchdown, contributing to the team’s seventh consecutive victory in November.

Despite the loss, the Lions’ defense showcased its strength, successfully stopping Philadelphia’s “tush push” plays on several attempts. However, Detroit’s offense fizzled out, going 0-for-5 on fourth downs throughout the game, which proved costly.

The final score registered the Eagles on top at 16-9, leaving Detroit with a record of 6-4 for the season. ‘We didn’t execute when it mattered,’ Goff said post-game. ‘We have to find a way to get it done moving forward.’
