Keith Urban Mar A Lago Party

Palm Beach, Florida — Country singer Keith Urban gave a private performance at a party hosted by Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt on Saturday, Nov. 15. The event was attended by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Trump, who is 79, was seen sitting next to Pratt, 65, a businessman who has donated millions to Trump’s political campaigns. Pratt contributed $10 million to Trump’s 2024 election efforts and pledged $5 billion to support Trump’s strategy for U.S. reindustrialization, according to reports.

During the party, Urban performed popular songs including Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” and Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.” Snippets of the performance were shared on social media by attendees. Urban has been known to cover “Pink Pony Club” at previous concerts, describing it as a song that resonates with feelings of belonging and safe spaces.

Urban expressed emotional attachment to Roan’s song, remarking during an appearance earlier this year that it speaks to his desire to find a place where he fits in. “You just want to find your people — doesn’t matter what that is,” Urban stated.

Reactions to Urban’s appearance at the party have been mixed on social media. Some fans celebrated the collaboration with Trump, while others felt uncomfortable with Urban’s association with the former president. Representatives for Urban and Roan did not comment on the matter when contacted.

In 2017, Urban expressed uncertainty about performing at the White House, emphasizing the importance of doing what feels right as a citizen. He has avoided making clear political endorsements, stating that his music reflects a variety of perspectives.

Roan, who wrote “Pink Pony Club,” has been vocal in her political views, previously stating she would never vote for Trump and encouraging questioning of authority.

Despite the political backdrop, Urban continues to perform diverse music and connect with a wide range of audiences, demonstrating his commitment to inclusivity in his work.
