Bruins Sharks Game Night San Jose

San Jose, California – The Boston Bruins will face off against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night at the SAP Center. This game marks the concluding match of the Bruins’ three-game swing through California, having split their first two games.

Center Morgan Geekie has emerged as a key player, scoring two goals against both the Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Kings in previous games. He is currently one goal behind NHL leader Nathan MacKinnon, who has 17 goals this season. Geekie reflected on his recent performances, stating, “It’s easy to build confidence when you have confidence. I think over the last year, it’s slowly been building.”

The Bruins snapped a two-game losing streak with a recent victory, improving to a season record of 13-10-0. They hope to build on this momentum against the Sharks, who have a 10-9-3 record. The game is set to start at 8:00 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on NESN and WBZ-FM 98.5.

Boston has revamped its lineup, featuring Czech players Matej Blumel, Pavel Zacha, and David Pastrnak on the top line. Coach Marco Sturm explained the changes were aimed at enhancing offensive depth. Goalie Jeremy Swayman has excelled recently, winning six of his last seven starts.

On the Sharks’ side, Macklin Celebrini leads the team with 13 goals and 32 points so far this season. Goalie Yaroslav Askarov holds a record of 5-5-1 with a .906 save percentage. Askarov’s performance will be crucial as the Sharks aim to halt a two-game losing streak.

The Sharks haven’t won a game in regulation since November 11, and they are looking to break this streak at home. With both teams aiming to gain ground in the standings, the Sunday night matchup promises to be an exciting clash.
