FORT MYERS, Fla. – Troy University men’s basketball concludes a six-game road trip on Wednesday, facing Saint Francis in the consolation game of the Coconut Hoops tournament at 10 a.m. CT.

Troy enters the matchup with a record of 4-4 after losing to Toledo on Monday. The Trojans struggled from three-point range, shooting just 5-for-28, or 17.9 percent. Thomas Dowd led Troy in scoring with 18 points, while also contributing 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Dowd’s double-double marked his fourth of the season, placing him tied for eighth in the nation in that category. He is also just seven rebounds shy of reaching 500 career rebounds.

Wednesday will be the first meeting between Troy and Saint Francis. The game will take place at Alico Arena, which has a capacity of 4,333.

Saint Francis, coached by Luke McConnell, is struggling this season with an 0-5 record. They lost to Belmont on Monday, 94-57. Skylar Wicks is the team’s leading scorer, averaging 18.6 points per game, and has recorded two double-doubles this season.

This is the final season for Saint Francis as a Division I institution. They are reclassifying to NCAA Division III, with full membership slated to begin in the 2028-29 academic year.

Following the game against Saint Francis, Troy will return home to face West Georgia on Monday, December 1, at 6 p.m. inside Trojan Arena. That matchup will be streamed live on ESPN+.
