Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball Eastern Michigan Game

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball team will host the Eastern Michigan Eagles at Fifth Third Arena on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and aired on 700 WLW and the TuneIn app.

This season marks the 125th anniversary of Cincinnati men’s basketball. The Bearcats, recognized as one of the top programs in college basketball history, have established a legacy with 44 All-Americans and two national championships throughout their history dating back to the 1901-02 season.

The Bearcats enter the game with a record of 5-1 after a 94-67 victory over NJIT on Monday, where Shon Abaev led with 20 points. Cincinnati is currently considered a 23.5-point favorite against Eastern Michigan, whose record stands at 3-3 following an 87-46 loss to Louisville.

Cincinnati’s defense has been impressive, allowing just 64.2 points per game, which ranks third nationally. They are also noted for their high adjusted defensive efficiency rating. However, they will face challenges as Baba Miller and Jalen Celestine are both unavailable for this matchup due to injuries.

Despite their injuries, the Bearcats are looking to continue their momentum. Their last encounter with Eastern Michigan resulted in a 102-79 victory in 1996, where Danny Fortson led with 33 points. UC head coach Wes Miller spoke about the importance of the upcoming game, stating, “I hope we can have [Miller] back sooner rather than later. We need to establish a rhythm going into conference play.”u200b

Eastern Michigan is directed by fifth-year head coach Stan Heath and is led by redshirt freshman forward Mohammad Habhab, averaging 15 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. With both teams aiming for a strong performance, Wednesday’s game promises to be a pivotal matchup as the Bearcats continue to prepare for the challenges ahead in their season.
