Allu Arjun Pushpa 2 Premiere Stampede

Telugu film actor Allu Arjun has been arrested by the Hyderabad police in connection with a fatal stampede that occurred during the premiere of his film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on December 4. The incident resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, identified as Revathi, and left her nine-year-old son critically injured.

The stampede happened when Allu Arjun made an unscheduled appearance at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, accompanied by the film’s music director, Devi Sri Prasad. The sudden arrival of the actor and his team led to a massive rush of people, resulting in chaotic conditions and the subsequent stampede. The police had not received prior notification of the film team’s visit, and the theatre management had not made adequate arrangements for crowd control or separate entry and exit points for the actors.

Allu Arjun was taken into custody by officers from the Chikkadpally police station, where the case was registered. The police have filed charges against the actor, his security team, and the theatre management under sections related to culpable homicide not amounting to murder and voluntarily causing hurt.

In response to the tragedy, Allu Arjun expressed his condolences on social media and announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the deceased woman’s family. He also promised to cover the medical expenses of the injured boy.

The police have emphasized that stringent action will be taken against those responsible for the tragic outcome, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
