Apostolic Faith Church Abuja Children’s Choir Stuns Audience with Melodic Concert on Children’s Day

Over 500 young voices from the Apostolic Faith Church Abuja Children’s Choir captivated the audience with a mesmerizing musical performance at the church’s headquarters in Jabi, Abuja. The musical event, titled ‘Melodies to the Almighty,’ was a celebration of Children’s Day 2024.

The choir showcased a diverse repertoire, including compositions by renowned music scholars like Ludwig Beethoven, Joachim Johow, and Johann Pachebel. These talented children also exhibited their instrumental skills, playing violins, violas, flutes, trumpets, and more.

Throughout the concert, the young performers sang in various Nigerian languages, showcasing their versatility by switching between Yoruba and Efik melodies. The audience was visibly thrilled, responding with resounding ‘Amens’ after each rendition, creating an atmosphere brimming with joy and excitement.

Children’s Day, traditionally observed on May 27 in Nigeria, serves as a global tribute to children, prompting adults to reflect on their own childhood experiences. The day’s festivities are characterized by a spirit of recognition, honor, celebration, and gratitude towards children from all walks of life.
