Cupertino, CaliforniaApple has unveiled its latest update, iOS 18.4, for iPhone and iPad users on April 1, 2025. The update introduces the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence suite, enhancing device functionality with generative AI features, alongside various non-AI improvements.

Key highlights of iOS 18.4 include the ability to generate custom images in the Image Playground and create ‘Genmoji‘ emoji, enabling a more personalized user experience. Integration with ChatGPT offers users advanced writing tools, allowing text to be rewritten in different styles. These features are set to redefine user interaction with Apple devices.

In addition to these innovations, the Apple Intelligence suite has expanded its language capabilities, now supporting languages such as French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, including localized variations for Singapore and India, according to Apple.

Priority notifications are another significant update. This AI-driven feature identifies important alerts and prioritizes them in the notification stack, ensuring that users receive timely and relevant information. The update also enhances the Image Playground by introducing a new Sketch style, while the Photos app receives improved filters, allowing users to hide and reorder items in various collections.

These new features will be available to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 model users in India, enhancing their interaction with Apple Intelligence functionalities including visual search and ChatGPT integration.

Moreover, Apple has announced the availability of Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro and visionOS 2.4, indicating its commitment to extending these capabilities across its product ecosystem.

Despite these advancements, Apple has postponed the rollout of a completely revamped Siri to next year, as stated in an announcement from the company. This delay will allow Apple to refine Siri’s integration with the new AI technologies.
