Big Fresno Fair Safety And Attractions

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Big Fresno Fair is stepping up safety measures as it gears up for its 142nd year, running from October 1-12, 2025. With a blend of new attractions and enhanced security, officials aim to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Fresno Police will have a strong presence at each entrance, providing security alongside the fair’s private security team. “It’s by far one of the safest places in Fresno to be,” said Fresno Police Lt. Anthony Dewall, highlighting patrols on the ground, in the air, and through surveillance cameras.

This year marks the introduction of a clear bag policy, with requirements modeled after local venues such as the Saroyan Theatre and Fresno State football games. “The clear bags make it so much easier and you can see what’s going on,” said attendee Denise Tomlinson, who supports the initiative as a necessary step for safety.

The permissible bag sizes include non-clear bags smaller than 4.5 x 6.5 x 2 inches and clear bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches. Exceptions are made for diaper bags and medical necessities, especially during educational days for students.

In addition to safety measures, the fair is introducing new attractions to draw in crowds. Events such as the inaugural two-day Big Fresno Fair Rodeo and the 10th annual beer and wine festival will be featured, alongside popular concerts at the Paul Paul Theater led by artists like YG, Dustin Lynch, and Trace Adkins.

Ticket pricing remains accessible, with daily admission set at $15 for adults and various discounts for children and seniors. A season pass is available for $48, covering all days of the fair. Other amenities include parking fees ranging from $15 to $20.

Fair organizers emphasize that all rides have been inspected to ensure safety, aligning with state requirements. Notably, thrill-seekers can look forward to the largest carnival ride in the country, “THE KING.” The fair’s longstanding tradition continues with a focus on family fun and safety this year.
