Christy Walton Anti Trump Protests

NEW YORK, NY — Billionaire Walmart heiress Christy Walton is promoting nationwide protests against President Donald Trump, encouraging citizens to unite against perceived abuses of power. The protests, organized by the group ‘No Kings,’ are set to take place on Saturday, June 14, coinciding with Trump’s military parade in Washington, D.C.

Walton, who is worth approximately $19.3 billion, purchased a full-page advertisement in The New York Times announcing the upcoming events. The ad features the group’s slogan, ‘No Kings,’ and urges people to mobilize against what they describe as the authoritarian excesses of the Trump administration.

‘In America, we don’t do kings,’ the ad states. It condemns actions taken by the Trump administration, including defying courts and attacking civil rights. The advertisement further outlines Walton’s support for principles such as care for veterans and children.

According to Andrew Cook, a spokesperson for No Kings, over 1,800 demonstrations are expected to occur across the country. ‘We anticipate this will be the largest single-day rally since Trump took office,’ Cook told Forbes.

Walton’s initiative follows a similar advertisement she placed in March, where she called for civic engagement without the mention of the No Kings group. Sources close to Walton revealed that her aim is to encourage peaceful dialogue amid a tense political climate.

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, noted support from various groups, emphasizing that ‘our country was founded on the idea that presidents answer to the people.’

While Walton has not openly criticized Trump, she has demonstrated her political stance by co-hosting a fundraiser for Kamala Harris last September and contributing significantly to Democratic causes. Despite her wealth and connections, Walton has never played a direct role in the management of Walmart, which has been at odds with the Trump administration over pricing and tariffs.

The upcoming No Kings protests aim to remind Trump and his supporters that the majority opposes ‘the corruption and power grab’ seen in recent years, urging citizens to make their voices heard in defense of democracy.

Representatives for Walton have not responded to inquiries regarding her latest advertisements.
