Bjp Allegations Of Land Scam In Tirupati

In a recent press conference held in Tirupati, Kola Anand, the State secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), made some serious allegations against leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and senior government officials. He claimed that these individuals were involved in massive land-grabbing activities affecting a large area in the Tirupati district.

Anand specifically pointed out several people, including Dhananjaya Reddy, who served as the former secretary at the Chief Minister’s Office during the YSRCP’s time in power. He also named Venkatrami Reddy, the former Tirupati Collector, and Biyyapu Madhusudan Reddy, a former YSRCP MLA from Srikalahasti, as key players in this alleged land scam. Anand is calling for both the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to step in and investigate these claims.

According to Anand, the lands in question, located in areas such as Vikrutamala, Guravaraju Palli, Karakambadi, Annasampalle, and Venkatapuram, are valued at around ₹1,000 crores. He also highlighted recent accusations about a ₹200 crore land-grabbing scheme linked to YSRCP leaders in the Rajiv Nagar locality of Srikalahasti.

During the conference, BJP state spokesperson Samanchi Srinivas added to Anand’s allegations, stating that YSRCP leaders are deliberately damaging government land records. He mentioned that the state government had issued directives in six districts to probe this ongoing land scam, which reportedly involved the mishandling of records across 18 mandals.

Srinivas claimed that around 18,000 acres of government lands of different categories were wrongfully acquired under the pretext of pre-hold agreements and sold at much lower-than-market prices.
