Brazilian Marketing Executive Paulo Fogaca Appointed as CEO of FCB Brazil
Brazilian marketing executive Paulo Fogaca has been announced as the new CEO of FCB Brazil, taking over from Ricardo John who served in the role since 2019 and recently announced his departure. Fogaca is set to begin his tenure at the end of February, reporting directly to FCB Global CEO Tyler Turnbull.
Prior to his appointment at FCB Brazil, Fogaca held the position of U.S. CEO at Dentsu Creative. He played a key role in overseeing the integration of Dentsu’s creative agencies under one roof. Before that, he had worked at Abbey Klaassen and David. His achievements at David led to him being named part of the Adweek Creative 100 list.
Susan Credle, global chair and global chief creative officer at FCB, emphasized the importance of having a leader who understands the nuances of the Brazilian market. She believes that Fogaca’s impressive portfolio and his pride in Brazil’s reputation make him the perfect fit to lead FCB Brazil into its next phase.
Fogaca’s primary focus in his new role will be identifying collaboration opportunities, driving client growth, strengthening client-agency relationships, and attracting new talent to FCB’s creative pool. Furthermore, he aims to consolidate FCB Brazil’s standing within the industry with the help of the existing Brazilian team.
In a statement, Fogaca expressed his excitement about returning to his home country, saying, “It’s a bit of a homecoming for me – returning to my family in Brazil. I am grateful FCB has given me this opportunity to do what I love surrounded by the people I love.”
FCB Brazil, founded in 1973, boasts a workforce of over 200 employees. The agency has successfully collaborated with global brands such as Coca-Cola and Nivea. Adweek recognized FCB as a finalist for the 2023 Global Agency of the Year award, praising its purpose-driven work. Additionally, FCB received accolades in 2023, ranking as the second-best agency in The One Club for Creativity’s Global Creative Rankings and being named North America Network of the Year at Cannes for the fifth consecutive year.
