Matt Milano Buffalo Bills Practice Return

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott announced on Monday that starting linebacker Matt Milano will resume practicing this week, marking a significant step in his recovery from a torn left biceps. Milano has been sidelined for three months after suffering the injury during a training camp session in mid-August, which required surgical repair[3][5].[4]

Milano’s return to practice opens a 21-day window for him to be activated off injured reserve. However, he will not be ready to play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The earliest he can return to the field is for the Bills’ home game against the San Francisco 49ers on December 1, following the team’s bye week[3][5].[4]

This is not Milano’s first extended absence; he missed the final 12 games of last season due to a broken right leg. The 30-year-old linebacker has not played in over 13 months, making his impending return a crucial boost for the AFC East-leading Bills, who currently hold an 8-2 record[3].[5]

In addition to Milano’s update, McDermott also provided injury reports on other key players. Rookie receiver Keon Coleman will miss his second straight game with a wrist injury, while receiver Amari Cooper is steadily improving and could return to play after missing two games with a similar injury. There was no immediate update on starting tight end Dalton Kincaid, who was sidelined by a knee injury in the Bills’ 30-20 win at Indianapolis on Sunday[3].[5]
