Chase Roberts Byu Injury Cincinnati

PROVO, Utah – BYU wide receiver Chase Roberts left Saturday’s game against Cincinnati in the first half due to injury. The Cougars went into halftime with a 10-7 lead, but Roberts did not return to the field.

Roberts, dressed in a hoodie and sweatpants, watched the remainder of the game from the sidelines. He caught one pass for 11 yards before exiting the match. This season, Roberts was recognized on the All-Big 12 Preseason Team and is a candidate for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation’s best collegiate receiver.

The senior wideout entered the game with impressive stats, having recorded 43 catches for 702 yards and five touchdowns this season. In 2024, he finished with 52 receptions, 854 yards, and four touchdowns. His performance has remained consistent with his career averages, even as he transitioned to playing with true freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier.

Roberts was named a co-captain for the 2025 season, underscoring his leadership on the team. The Cougars are now set to face Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium, aiming to solidify their position in the Big 12 Conference.
