Carolina Panthers Activate Running Back Jonathan Brooks from Injury
The Carolina Panthers have made a significant move in their roster by activating running back Jonathan Brooks from his injury recovery. Brooks, who was drafted in the second round (46th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft, has been working his way back from an ACL injury he suffered during his college days at the University of Texas.
According to reports from NFL insiders, including Ian Rapoport and Field Yates, Brooks is set to be added to the 53-man roster. However, it is unclear if he will be ready to play in the upcoming Week 7 game against the Washington Commanders. Panthers coach Dave Canales indicated that while Brooks will be activated, there is no commitment to him playing this Sunday.
Brooks’ activation is a positive sign for the Panthers’ offense, which has been looking for additional depth and talent. The 21-year-old running back from Hallettsville, Texas, is expected to contribute significantly once he is fully integrated into the team’s lineup.
