Catholic Charities Adjusts Hours For Holy Week In Elmira

Catholic Charities in Elmira, New York, has announced a temporary adjustment to its operating hours in observance of Holy Week, a significant period in the Catholic faith.

All Catholic Charities offices and pantries in Elmira will close at noon on Holy Thursday, which falls on March 28 this year, and remain closed on Good Friday, observed on March 29.

The Community Kitchen, a key service provided by Catholic Charities, will continue to serve lunch to those in need during the holiday period. On Holy Thursday and Good Friday, lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

For Easter Sunday, Catholic Charities will host a special Easter Dinner event at the Elmira Community Kitchen. The Easter Dinner will be served from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., offering a sense of community and celebration on this important day.

Following the conclusion of the Easter festivities, all Catholic Charities offices in Elmira are scheduled to resume their normal operations starting the following Monday, April 1.
