Denver, Colo. (May 3, 2025) — Chase Sexton of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing celebrated his sixth victory of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship at Empower Field at Mile High. Sexton’s dominant performance saw him stretch his lead to over 10 seconds during the race.

This win is crucial for Sexton as he now sits just nine points behind the championship leader with only one round remaining in Salt Lake City, Utah, next weekend. The Denver round proved to be a thrilling spectacle for fans of the sport.

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing‘s competitors managed to hold off intense pressure, with one rider finishing in second place, preserving his points lead despite the chase from Sexton. The race saw another Yamaha Star racer recovering from a 12th place start to finish third.

Sexton reflected on his aggressive racing style during the event. “I made an aggressive move, but I kind of have to. I wanted to get out front and break away, and that’s what I did,” he said, emphasizing his determination to prove he is the top rider.

In a close contest in the Western Divisional 250SX Class, Monster Energy Yamaha’s competitor secured his first championship with a bold maneuver late in the race. The 250SX Class saw escalating excitement, culminating in Deegan clinching the title after passing a rival, Davies, who finished fifth.

“This [Championship] means a lot to me because people doubted me all the way,” Deegan commented post-race. “They’re just mad that I’m him, and they’ve got to deal with it.”

The action-packed event at Empower Field at Mile High set the stage for the final showdown next Saturday, where top contenders will fight for the championship.
