Cooper Kupp Trade Speculation Nfl Offseason 2025

LOS ANGELES, CA — As the NFL offseason progresses, speculation is intensifying regarding the future of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp. According to sources, the Rams are considering trading Kupp, the MVP of Super Bowl LVI, and are prepared to work with him to identify potential landing spots. The urgency is palpable as Kupp’s trade odds are currently listed at +200 by DraftKings Sportsbook.

Kupp, 30, was the 69th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and has spent his entire eight-season career with the Rams. In 2021, he had a historic year, becoming the first player to lead the league in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), and touchdowns (16) in the same season, earning him Pro Bowl honors and the Offensive Player of the Year award. Only Calvin Johnson‘s 1,964 receiving yards in 2012 surpass Kupp’s total for the second-most single-season yards in NFL history.

However, Kupp’s time on the field has been hampered by injuries in recent seasons. He played only nine games in 2022 and participated in 24 of 34 games over the last two seasons. Across these years, he recorded 812 receiving yards in 2022, followed by 737 in 2023 and 710 in the most recent season.

With the Rams’ potential transition, the Jacksonville Jaguars have emerged as frontrunners in the odds for Kupp, after previously being outside the top favorites. Last season, the Jaguars struggled, averaging only 204.5 passing yards per game. Despite rookie standout Brian Thomas Jr. achieving 1,282 receiving yards and ten touchdowns, the Jaguars’ subsequent options left much to be desired.

Kupp’s potential departure raises questions about his next chapter, particularly considering he has consistently performed at a high level when healthy. A spectator in this evolving narrative, Kupp’s future will likely depend on the Rams’ strategic vision for the franchise.
