Former Coronation Street star Paula Lane has made her explosive debut in the hit soap Emmerdale. Ella immediately struck up a friendship with Mandy, portrayed by Lisa Riley, as the two bonded over their shared animosity towards Jules.

Speaking about her new role, Lane revealed potential storylines, hinting at a love triangle and teasing a potential romance for her character. She also confirmed that Ella would be working at the new GP surgery, placing her at the heart of the village.
