Crash in Bakersfield Claims Life of 64-Year-Old Man

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 64-year-old man died following a vehicle crash on Saturday at the intersection of 34th Street and Q Street. George Allen Tiglio was involved in the incident at around 12:40 a.m. on September 20, 2025.

According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, Tiglio was driving when he collided with another vehicle. He was rushed to Kern Medical, where he tragically passed away on September 21 at approximately 12:06 p.m.

The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the crash. No additional details about the circumstances of the collision have been released as the investigation is ongoing.

Motor vehicle accidents can result in severe outcomes, and each case often involves multiple factors. Authorities urge drivers to follow all traffic laws to prevent such accidents. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and cautious while driving in the area.

In separate news, a serious motorcycle accident involving a semi-truck occurred in Bakersfield on September 21, resulting in another fatality. That incident highlights the dangers motorcyclists face on the road.

The identity of the motorcyclist involved in the second accident has yet to be disclosed and will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office in due course.
