Darren Till Anthony Taylor Misfits Boxing 20 Fight

MANCHESTER, England — MMA veteran Darren Till defeated Anthony Taylor via a sixth-round technical knockout (TKO) in the main event of Misfits Boxing 20 on Saturday at the Co-op Live arena. The catchweight bout marked Till’s second professional boxing match, while Taylor, the reigning Misfits Boxing light heavyweight champion, entered the ring on a four-fight winning streak.

The tension between the fighters was palpable during Friday’s weigh-in, where Till shoved Taylor in the face during their staredown. The animosity carried into the ring, with Till ultimately dominating the fight. The referee stopped the contest at 1:05 of the sixth round after Till landed a series of unanswered punches.

In the co-main event, boxing commentator Wade Plemons made his Misfits Boxing debut, defeating Masai Warrior via unanimous decision. Judges scored the bout 40-36, 40-36, and 39-37 in favor of Plemons, who showcased his technical prowess throughout the four-round contest.

Other notable results included Ty Mitchell‘s third-round TKO victory over Tommy Hench, Melanie Shah and Carla Jade’s split draw, and Little T‘s second-round TKO win over Afghan Dan due to an injury. Sami Hamed, Adam Brooks, and BBCC Gareth also secured first-round TKO victories in their respective bouts.

Misfits Boxing 20 drew a lively crowd to the Co-op Live arena, with fans eagerly anticipating the clash between Till and Taylor. Till’s victory solidifies his transition from MMA to boxing, while Taylor’s loss marks a setback in his otherwise impressive run in the Misfits Boxing promotion.
