Disney Animation and Kugali have released the official trailer for the highly anticipated animated series titled Iwaju, set in a futuristic version of Lagos, Nigeria. Iwaju is a creation by director Olufikayo Ziki Adeola and Halima Hudson, promising an exciting blend of African storytelling with state-of-the-art animation.

The story of Iwaju revolves around two main characters, Tola from the wealthy island, and her best friend Kole, a self-taught tech expert. Together, they embark on a journey of discovery as they unravel the hidden secrets and dangers that lurk within their contrasting worlds, offering viewers a thrilling coming-of-age tale.

Key creative minds behind Iwaju include director Olufikayo Ziki Adeola, production designer Hamid Ibrahim, and cultural consultant Toluwalakin Olowofoyeku. Their combined vision immerses audiences in the vibrant world of Iwaju, showcasing a future Lagos rich with unique visuals and inspired technological advancements.
