Doom: The Dark Ages Unveiled By Id Software At Xbox Showcase

Xbox’s recent showcase event featured a thrilling announcement from renowned game developer id Software, as they revealed the highly anticipated next installment in the iconic Doom series titled Doom: The Dark Ages.

Transporting players to a medieval-like realm, this new entry in the franchise promises a unique twist by immersing the slayer in a fantastical setting, laden with demons and otherworldly foes. The game, serving as a prequel, aims to deliver a visceral and gory experience reminiscent of the series’ signature brutal gameplay.

One of the standout features showcased during the event was the introduction of a cyberpunk dragon, offering players the exhilarating ability to take flight and rain down destruction upon their adversaries in a never-before-seen fashion.

Scheduled for a 2025 release, Doom: The Dark Ages will be available on the Xbox platform, including Game Pass, as well as on PC and the PlayStation 5, marking a highly anticipated return for fans of the franchise.

Following a brief hiatus from mainline entries, id Software has meticulously crafted this new installment, with their last major release being the well-received Doom Eternal in 2020. The studio’s upcoming title will mark their first game launch since Quake Champions hit the market in 2022, ensuring that fans can expect a thrilling and adrenaline-fueled experience.
