Elisabeth Moss Confirms Pregnancy On Jimmy Kimmel Live

Elisabeth Moss, best known for her roles in ‘Mad Men‘ and ‘The Handmaid's Tale,’ revealed on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ that she is expecting her first child. The news, which Moss shared on the talk show Tuesday night, came as a surprise to many of her fans.

When host Jimmy Kimmel jokingly asked Moss if she was pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor, she responded with a laugh, ‘A little bit of both.’ She proudly debuted her baby bump, stating, ‘I’ve been really lucky. It’s been going really well.’

Moss, who has always been private about her personal life, rose to fame with her breakthrough role as Peggy Olson in the critically acclaimed series ‘Mad Men.’ She then garnered further recognition and a Golden Globe award for her performance in the mysterious BBC miniseries ‘Top of The Lake.’

However, it was her lead role as June Osborne in Hulu‘s dystopian hit series, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ that solidified her status as one of Hollywood’s leading actresses. The show first premiered in 2017 and has been praised for its gripping storylines and Moss’s compelling portrayal of her character.

Although Moss has kept her personal life under wraps, she was previously married to comedian Fred Armisen, with whom she divorced in 2011. As she embarks on her journey into motherhood, Kimmel playfully mentioned that his wife, Molly McNearney, received some hilarious advice from Bill Murray: bring Christmas lights to the delivery room to combat the less-than-ideal lighting conditions.

Looking forward to her pregnancy, Moss humorously expressed her excitement about using it as a way to avoid social obligations, saying, ‘I can’t wait to start [using it]. It’s the best.’

On the professional front, Moss is set to appear in ‘The Veil,’ a thrilling series produced by FX for Hulu. Furthermore, she revealed that she will be filming the sixth and final season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ this summer, with an anticipated release date in 2025.
